About NEO

National Erasmus+ Offices (NEO) operate in 23 Partner Countries that participate in the Erasmus+ Programme and are designated to assist the European Commission, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the European Union Delegations and the authorities in the third countries not associated to the Programme in the implementation of the international dimension of the Erasmus+ Programme in the fields of higher education, and where relevant vocational training, youth and sport. 

The NEOs act as focal points in the Partner Countries for applicants, beneficiaries and other stakeholders as regards the EU cooperation activities under the Erasmus+ Programme and undertake the following tasks:

Provide information about Erasmus+ activities that are open to the participation

Advise and assist potential applicants of the Programme

Support for dialogue on policy, research, and actions

Maintain contacts with experts and local authorities

Follow policy developments in the above-mentioned areas in their countries

Mandate and purpose

The mandate of the NEO covers supporting, promotion and dissemination activities related to all Erasmus+ international dimension actions open to cooperation with Third Countries. 

The overall objective of the NEO is to improve the awareness, visibility, relevance, effectiveness and impact of the international components of the Erasmus+ Programme and to support promotion and dissemination in the NEO countries.
