On March 5-6, 2024 NEO KZ in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan and European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) held a Technical Assistance Mission (TAM) seminar on “Innovative Teaching and Learning Strategy: Methods, Technologies, and Tools” at Astana IT University.
The opening remarks were delivered by His Excellency Kęstutis Jankauskas, the Ambassador of the European Union to Kazakhstan, Rysgul Kudretullayeva, Head of Unit of the Content of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the RK, and Serik Omirbayev, Acting Rector of Astana IT University and the Chairman of the HERE Team.
The main speaker of the seminar was an invited expert from Austria, Dr. Jan Böhm, Head of the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Education Upper Austria, who presented cutting-edge practices and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. HERE experts and invited speakers shared their experience in implementing innovative teaching and learning tools at Kazakhstan’s universities. The event was attended by Vice- rectors, Deans and Department Chairs of more than 30 Kazakhstani higher education institutions. The seminar became an efficient platform to exchange best practices, receive new insights and expand professional network of the participants.
