Jean Monnet 2026: 5 Projects from Kazakhstan Selected for Funding

In 2026, higher education institutions from Kazakhstan submitted 92 applications to the Jean Monnet call under the Erasmus+ programme.

Following the evaluation, 5 projects were selected for funding, including:

• 4 Jean Monnet Modules
• 1 Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence

The selected projects will be implemented by 5 higher education institutions in Kazakhstan:

• Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – EU-DIGITRUST: European Standards for Digital Economy, Trust and Law
• Buketov University – DIGI-WELL EU: Human Well-Being in Digital Societies: EU Policies and Practices
• Dulaty University – EUPSM: European Approaches to Public Service Management and Good Governance
• Margulan University – PTE-GPALER: The Projective Thinking of Europe: Geometry, Painting and Architecture as the Language of European Rationality
• KIMEP University – EU-CAPS: The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on EU Governance Models and Policy Simulation.

The implementation of these projects will contribute to the development of teaching and research in the field of European integration, strengthen academic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, and expand opportunities for students and academics to explore European experience and best practices across various fields.
