Infosessions on Erasmus+ in East Kazakhstan

On 8-13, October 2023, NEO KZ Coordinator Laura Paluanova visited higher education institutions in East Kazakhstan to hold infosessions on Erasmus+. These visits included meetings with universities' leadership; general sessions about Erasmus+; tailored sessions for potential CBHE and Jean Monnet applicants and tours of the laboratories established under Erasmus+ projects. Within the visit the Coordinator visited the following cities and regional universities:

• Ust-Kamenogorsk: D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, S.Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Kazakh-American Free University.
• Semey: Shakarim University, Semey Medical University, Alikhan Bokeikhan University.

During the visit to Semey, Zhadyra Konurbayeva, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at D.Serikbayev EKTU and a member of the HERE team joined Laura Paluanova and presented information on D.Serikbayev EKTU’s collaboration experience with industry.

As a result, regional universities increased their awareness about the programme; understood what actions they want to consider and received helpful recommendations and tools to participate in the Erasmus+ actions available for Kazakhstan. Besides, universities received valuable information on how to strengthen their cooperation with industry based on D.Serikbayev EKTU's experience shared by the HERE member.
