Infosession for universities on "Opportunities for Kazakhstani HEIs under the Erasmus+ Programme”

On 19 February 2026, at the initiative of the National Center for Higher Education Development, an online infosession for universities was held on the topic “Opportunities for Kazakhstani HEIs under the Erasmus+ Programme,” conducted by the Coordinator of National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan Laura Paluanova. During the event, the Сoordinator provided an overview of the Erasmus+ programme, covering its key actions and priorities, along with the evaluation criteria for project proposals and recommendations for preparing competitive proposals. During the Q&A session the Coordinator covered the following aspects:

  • common mistakes when submitting project proposals and the need to pay special attention to the needs analysis and maintaining a logical sequence in the project proposal, as well as budget planning;
  • participation of MSHE of RK in Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects, including key aspects of partnership and collaborative work;
  • the possibility for other organizations to act as partners or coordinators in CBHE projects.

The infosession was attended by 47 representatives from various higher education institutions of the country, who showed strong interest in the programme. As a result, participants learned more in depth the opportunities under Erasmus+; received recommendations from NEO KZ Coordinator about focusing more on the quality of project proposals and received answers to their questions.

NEO KZ expresses sincere gratitude to the National Center for Higher Education Development for organizing this event, as well as to all participants for their active engagement and interest.
