Information Sessions – From Newcomers to Partner Search

On 17 and 19 March 2026, two informative sessions were held on the Erasmus+ Programme, bringing together representatives of higher education institutions (HEIs) from across the country.

The first session was a general information session for newcomers and HEIs with less or no experience in Erasmus+. During the event, the Coordinator provided a comprehensive overview of the key Erasmus+ actions and information on opportunities for Central Asian countries (Region 6) focusing on International Credit Mobility (ICM), Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, Erasmus Mundus Design Measure and Jean Monnet projects.

The session was conducted in an interactive format, with participants actively asking questions, sharing their plans, and discussing effective strategies for participation in the programme. A total of 33 participants from 18 universities in Kazakhstan attended the session.

The second session focused on partner search. Participants learned strategies for finding reliable international partners, explored practical tools for establishing cooperation and received valuable resources to search partners for Erasmus+ projects. This session gathered 38 participants from 22 universities across the country.

As a result of the sessions,

  • HEIs with no or less experience in E+ deepened their knowledge about the programme and its available actions for Kazakhstan.
  • Learnt what the difference is between all 4 actions of the programme.
  • Received recommendations and algorithms of actions to participate in each of the actions.
  • Learnt how to start preparing for annual calls.
  • Learnt how to look for new partners and support the cooperation with current partners.
  • Received valuable resources for partner search (Erasmus+ partner search database of the EC. EU partner search portal, resources on NEO KZ website, etc.)
  • Participants left the session with a clear algorithm of actions to find new partners and expand their current networks.

The recordings of the sessions are available on NEO KZ website under the Activities – Video gallery 2026 section. The presentations are available on NEO KZ website under the Resources – Presentations 2026 section.
